The Magic of Compound Interest.

You'll love the math.

It’s all about compound interest. Use the slider to see how what you set aside today can grow over time.1

This example is based on a $7,000 contribution per year in monthly increments, with an average annual 6% return, compounded monthly, over 35 years. It is not intended to predict investment results of any specific investment. Of course, returns are not guaranteed, and will vary depending on investments and the market. If fees, taxes, and expenses were reflected, the hypothetical returns would be less.

Portability, It's Our Thing.

We think your money should stay with you, not your employer.

Most people change jobs every few years. But what happens to your retirement savings? Too often, old 401(k)s get forgotten, stuck in high-fee accounts, or cashed out too soon. With Icon, your savings stay with you, your plan goes where you go and removes the need for a rollover at job change.

You can also consolidate old retirement plans into your Icon retirement plan.

Questions

What is an IRA

An IRA is a personal, tax-deferred account the IRS created to give people an easy way to save for retirement. Your IRA account holds your retirement savings investments.

IRA-based Retirement Plans

All Icon plans use IRAs. We use these plans because they are more flexible, easier to use, and give savers more direct control over their plan.

Contribution Amounts

In 2025 the annual contribution you can make is $7,000 or $8,000 if you are over 50.

Multiple IRAs

It’s not unusual for people to have more than one IRA. However your annual total contributions to any IRA cannot be over the contribution limit.

The Difference Between a Roth IRA and a Traditional IRA

Both are retirement accounts with tax advantages, but they work differently: Roth IRA – You pay taxes now, but withdrawals in retirement are tax-free.  Traditional IRA – You may get a tax deduction now, but withdrawals in retirement are taxed as income.

Can I Transfer My Old Retirement Accounts to Icon

If you have a retirement account, like a 401(k) or 403(b), with a former employer, consider rolling over that money into an IRA. Keeping track of your portfolio can be easier when all your assets are consolidated in one place.

What fees does Icon charge for an IRA

Pricing is 0.37% annually based on assets under management. Plus, for account balances over $500 there is a flat monthly fee of: $1/month for $1,001-$3,000 $2/month, $3,001 or more $4/month. Icon does not charge trading fees.
